New England Fall Foliage

New England trees come to life in September/October when colors change flame-like orange, deep and vivid red and spectacular yellow. We lived in the Boston area, these photos have been taken in public parks and cemeteries, since there are not that many public parks. Starting with Labor Day weekend in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont the trees start changing colors. Early October weekends are a good time to visit the northern New England states. Then the colors come to Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, also invade popular New York City. Best days to enjoy the colors is when clear cold air from Canada sweeps the area, it may be frosty in the morning and the wind chill gets freezing, but the clear azure blue sky makes more than up for the cold. Photographers don't forget polarizer filter, it makes the sky deep and dark blue. The coastal regions have less foliage trees although some nice ones may be found in Newport, RI or on Cape Cod.

Erleben sie die spektakuläre Färbung von Laubbäumen in Neuengland. Wir haben einige Jahre in der Region um Boston gelebt, diese Photos stammen meist von Friedhöfen, wo oft die farbigsten Laubbäume zu finden sind. Es fängt Mitte September in den nördlichen Neuenglandstaaten Maine, New Hampshire und Vermont an, und Anfang Oktober ist Hochsaison für farbige Bäume. Ahorn und Buche geben ein feurig flammendes Farbenspiel in den Laubwäldern von Massachusetts, Rhode Island und Conneticut, Mitte Oktober wird es auch in New York / Manhatten bunt, die Farben ziehen dann weiter nach New Jersey und Pennsylvania. Beste Tage sind wenn klare Luft aus Kanada für blauen Himmel sorgt. Fotos am besten mit Polfilter, damit wird der Himmel azurblau und die Farben des Laubs stechen stark hervor.
