Menton Spring 1991:

1991, for the first real holidays since I left Germany, I came to Menton. Coming on two wheels I had little luck with the weather. The camping St Michel was deserted and one night I had to move to another place because of flooding. But it was quiet and peaceful, better than nervous and stressful Paris.

When the sun came out I made it both to then beach and into the mountains. For the first time I had my own motor vehicle, with the scooter the Riviera was fun.

Jah Tours summer 1991:

The building project for italian investors became reality in its first phase, this summer the Helios closed down for good. I made it for three days to Menton only, to see what's it like and if friends were coming. Only Alvaro was faithful to the lovely Riviera Town, so I left to the french Atlantic coast and discovered pro-surfing competition in Lacanau.
